In 1979 Jawed Karim was born in East Germany. He moved to USA with his family in 1992. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned B.S. in computer science in 2004. In 2005, he founded YouTube, a well known video sharing website, with Chad Hurley and Steve Chen. It was said the original idea came from Jawed Karim. In 2006, YouTube was sold to Google for $1.65 billion. In that time, Jawed Karim was a graduate student at Stanford University.
