Richard Ludlow
Richard Ludlow is the co-founder of Academic Earth, a
website that offers free video lectures from distinguished universities such as
Harvard, MIT, and Stanford etc. Richard Ludlow was America's Best Young
Entrepreneurs in 2008.
When Richard Ludlow was struggling in a Linear Algebra class at Yale, he searched internet and found a video course from MIT’s math professor. He then realized that was an opportunity to create a websites with lecture videos. In 2007, Richard got a BA in Economics and an MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University. He got an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2012. In 2008, Richard Ludlow founded Academic Earth, a website that shares video lectures from university professors, with Chris Bruner and Liam Pisano. In January 2012, Academic Earth was acquired by Ampush Media. What surprised me:
The initial reason for the creation of Academic Earth was that Richard Ludlow had trouble handling the Linear Algebra course.
